Water is supplied from the municipal network with a pressure of 0.4 MPa. The autoclave is pre- filled with water to the specified level level with the lid open. After immersing the baskets with

sterilization cans, the water level rises to the top the edge of the autoclave. When the lid is closed and locked, pressure is built up with the supplied lid compressed air and then the water temperature is raised with an oil burner .

Sample sterilization time for a 175 g can (at a pressure of 1.5 Atm.) - 75 minutes.
